Kincaid's Service Department



Kincaid's Is Music has had a full time, fully staffed service department since 1972. We service band and orchestra instruments as well as guitars and certain electronics (home electronics excluded). Our large repair facility is equipped with the latest repair tooling valued by our industry.

Our head technician, Mr. Loren Gladson, has been with Kincaid's for 18 years, is a member of National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians, and is fully trained in all aspects of instrument repair. He attended the Allied School of Instrument Repair and is a graduate of the Red Wing Instrument Repair program.

Some of his customers include music professors and students from Wittenberg University, Wright State University, Central State University, and the University of Dayton. Professional affiliations also include customers from the Dayton Jazz Orchestra and many full time professional musicians from around the Miami Valley. His assistants include our guitar/bass technician Tony Powell, and Mary Todey (woodwinds).

Mr. Gladson has hosted workshops on repair and maintenance at many area schools including Cedarville University and the University of Dayton, as well as being a source of information and advice for other technicians in the area.

On request, he regularly attends marching festivals and contests to ensure smooth equipment operation.
